Fruit was predominantly hand-picked and fermented with minimal intervention to preserve purity and expression of site. 

Approximately 90% of the fruit was harvested into bins and gently foot stomped to release the juice, allowing the wine to remain in contact with the skins. No sulphur was added at this stage. The fruit was chilled to 12°C before natural barrel fermentation. 

The remaining portion of the blend was hand-picked, destemmed and soaked on skins for 24 hours before pressing to barrel where fermentation occurred naturally until dry. 

This approach creates a wine with complexity, texture and natural aromatics. 

The 2024 vintage in the Upper Yarra Valley produced fruit with excellent natural balance and flavour intensity. 

Cool conditions throughout the growing season allowed the grapes to develop slowly, building aromatic complexity while maintaining fresh acidity. 

The result is a Pinot Gris with lifted aromatics, bright citrus and orchard fruit characters and a refined, textured palate.
